Stock Buying Guide

Creating an Account with a Securities Firm

In this guide, you will learn how to buy stocks, starting from registering with a securities company, funding your investment account, buying and selling stocks, to withdrawing profits to your bank account. # Creating an Account with a Securities Firm The first step to starting stock investment is to open an account with a securities company or stock broker. The securities firm facilitates stock transactions and distributes dividends to you. When registering, an Investor Fund Account (RDI) will also be created for you, which is a special bank account for investment activities. Although it is in your name, this account is opened by the securities firm and does not come with features like an ATM card, as it is solely for stock transactions. After opening the RDI, you will also receive a securities account. This account is used to log in to the securities platform either via an app or a website. For example, Indo Premier is one of the securities firms that allows online registration with a minimum deposit of only IDR 100,000, making it an ideal choice for beginners.
